I know I am a couple of weeks late on this post but someone in my household wanted to hear Laura Bush's speach at the Whitehouse Correspondent Dinner. About.com: http://treyjackson.typepad.com/junction/2005/04/video_president_1.html As we sat and watched and listened, it brought back all the negative commentary I heard from the right and the leff. She showed a lack of respect for the president and the office. Give me a break! This woman loves her husband and showed it to the world. She used humor to connect to the regular people of the world. She showed us all that even the most powerfull man in the world is still just a man and a father and a husband. Those who thought this speach was inappropriate are just too up-tight.
