Oil is now a problem. The american ecomomy and even the world economy is in danger. Since the liberals of this country deem it necessary to falsely save the the environment over the production of the resources we so deparately need we are soon going to be in a grip of trouble. For 30 years we have stood around and let the rest of the world controll our destiny by not building refineries, nuclear facilities or new drilling sites. Now our only alternative is to conserve untill we catch up by building and drilling. Wake up people. We can no longer hide our heads in the sand and hope. The economy is in danger of imploding. The rest of the world, expecially China have pushed demand for oil higher. Increase demand without increased supply means increased prices. $60+ per bll of oil for a sustained period of time will inevitably lead to a recession in this country. The problems we face now are the result of 30+ years of stupid energy policy. We sit on large reserves of oil and gas but refuse to develop these reserves under the guise of protecting the environment. This is no longer an option. If these policies are not reversed, we will be facing long term economic troubles. Your jobs will be in danger. Your lifestyle will be in danger. Your children and their children will have little chance of living a better life than you have.
