RealClearPolitics - Articles - Saving the American Dream

I must be stupid. I read the American Dream Initative at RealClearPolitics - Articles - Saving the American Dream from democrats Clinton, Carper and Vilsak and don't quite get it. A $3000 per year tax credit to go to college is the panacea for all of our problems. If I read correctly, its not even a new credit but a consolidation of existing tax credits. Or maybe its the performance based block grants that will save the country by enableing the states to make public education more affordable, which will somehow increase graduation rates. What a bunch of hooey. Why don't they propose vouchers for all americans, allowing them to opt out of the crappy public school system that can't, or won't, educate children in the first place. Maybe then graduation from a four year college will be more obtainable for most americans.

Is "Arab Democracy" Worth All This Chaos? Answer is Yes.

In this article Is "Arab Democracy" Worth All This Chaos? - Washington forgot an important componentstability. By Shmuel Rosner# Mr. Rosner asks the following questions: "So, a dilemma is emerging: Is Arab democracy so important that maintaining it is worth paying the price of chaos and instability? And is there a way to establish an Arab democracy that's stable from the outset?" I have an answer. We need to rid both Lebanon and Syria of both Hezbollah and Hamas influence. We must then get rid of the mother of all terrorist influences that destabilize any Arab democracy and that is IRAN. We cannot wait for Iran to procure nuclear weapons and then spread them to their surrogates. The time is upon us to take the lead, with the help of Israel, and unleash hell upon the Mullahs of Iran.

Report: Israel gives Syria ultimatum - News from Israel, Ynetnews

I just hope its true. Report: Israel gives Syria ultimatum - News from Israel, Ynetnews In the words of the Great G.W. Bush: "Bring It On".

How long can we wait?

I believe that now is the opportunity to deal with the 2nd arm of the 'axis of evil' (IRAN). The Iranian involvement in the Hezbollah / Israel engagement has opened the door to the U.S. to finish the job. We cannot wait for the crazies in Iran to get nuclear weapons. This would be unacceptable to the entire world. The Iranians may be much closer to acquiring weapons grade uranium as is indicated in this Middle East Newsline - article. The Hezbollah incident may well be orchestrated by the Iranians to deflect the probing of International interests in its nuclear programs. My hope is that Israel goes into Syria to clean out terrorist interest there and that the Iranians take offense and joins the fray. This will force Israel to go after the Iranian nuclear program and likely bring the U.S. into the conflict. From there it will be up the the people of Iran to either throw out the Mulaocracy or join in an all out war with the U.S. and whatever allies we can muster.

Who are your Friends?

Now that the world is gearing up for possible all out war, its nice to know who your friends are and who the enemy is. I think we can all agree that Iran is problem #1 for freedom loving peoples of the world. So if we have to go after the real threat, who will come to their aid. My guess is China is going to have a decision to make. China has great economic intersts in Iran View. What will they do? Can they afford to anger the U.S.. Can China survive without the golden goose that is the U.S. Consumer. I don't think so.
